For those who have Chevy Trucks from 73-87 like mine ( I have an 87 ) read on. I was having problems with my volt gauge working correctly ( I have a new alternator ) and was reading lower than was actually being charged. Checked it with my Digital Volt Meter. Then the gas gauge little over a week ago started reading much lower than what was actually in the tank soooo I had to guess at the mileage and hope to not run out of gas. frown TIME for repairs! It turned out that the gauges were bad so I replaced them. While in there I put in some new GE Night Hawk dash lights. 194 bulbs. I little brighter than stock. THEN I took that black plastic bezel and wiped it clean and painted Plastic Kote Chrome paint on the reverse light blue side. I had a little over spray and wiped it off with Xylene then some Pledge with a clean rag. I could have done the gauge cluster comparment too but this was just right. I dried it with a blow dryer and dusted the interior where the gauges set in and put it all back together. What a difference!!! smile I can actually see them without squinting. Try it, you'll like it! There are 5 lamps in the cluster and one in the heater controls on the right side. H.
