| | | Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 1,214 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2012 Posts: 1,214 | My Mrs's 06 RAV4 has electrical assist P/S and it's worked good enough that I've considered it on another project car I have that didn't come with P/S.
Her 48 month battery died @ 46 months so I'm unsure if the additional load of elect assist P/S shortened it by 2 months but we've had no starting/chargeing or steering issues.
I'm unsure who manufactures it for Toyota but I suspect Denso. There are several companys that produce them.
