I've installed a few "custom made" harnesses over the years and when it came time to redo my truck I just figured out what I needed and the circuit protection I wanted and built my own. No crimped terminal ends....everything was soldered with heat shrink....no excess wire to clutter up the under-dash.
Granted it wasn't a single weekend project, but I know what I have, my schematic is much simpler for the next guy to read, should the need arise, and I have the satisfaction of knowing that my electrical system is more than just new wire. The addition of circuit protection, security protection and relays brings me up to par with today's technology. Isn't that what it's all about? Hope this helps!!
