I've just done the retro fit waterpump changeover on my 235 blueflame with the old style and have found a few things out firstly changing the pump and fitting the adaptor plate is quite easy but to make it easier buy the
pump with the wide pulley this makes it easier to acquire the right crankshaft pulley because the old style 6 inch diameter are more common than the narrow pulley 6inch off the 53 or 54 splasher car motors also if your running an alternator you have change the pulley to a wide one to, the belt you need is a Dayco 15A1080, I hope this info helps someone Cheers Chrislon
