My sources show KDA as being from a 1952 COE 2 ton, 235.
It sounds like you have a replacement 261 that someone stamped with the KDA as that would most likely be what the truck was titled to.
Jerry, no 216's had Captains bars. The only engine besides a 261 that had them was the full pressure 1953 235.
