For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 320 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 320 | I was unable to find a tank for my panel. But some shops, such as radiator shops, will cut the tank open, clean and repair rust, then reassemble the tank and coat the inside with an epoxy material. That is what I ended up doing. The shop who did mine offered a lifetime warranty. It's been about 4 yrs and so far it's been working just fine. The owner of the shop told me it is used widely on commercial trucks. The cost is comparable to that what a new tank cost for those that are available.
