#98206 11/23/2006 1:58 AM | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | there should be a diagram in the assembly manual, tho it was written for 55 and the 55/6 wheel and column is different - there is a spring on the contactor that fits in a hole in the wheel and makes contact with that retainer, which itself provides the 'spring' for the button
your symptoms indicate that something's wired wrong - the column normally provides the ground for the horn when the button's pressed and that contactor completes the circuit
