For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2000 Posts: 98 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2000 Posts: 98 | I installed power steering on my 66 Chevy C10 that has a 250 6 cylinder. I used a conversion kit from CPP. I purchased a new quick ration power steering gear box from Advance Auto Parts. I purchased a used power steering pump from eBay. When the engine speed is over 1000 RPMs it works nice. But at idle there is now power in the steering. Is it a bad pump or is the pulley to big and therefore the pump is not turning fast enough at idle?
Any thoughts?
