Spent the last week standing on my head under the dash of my ’50, 3600. I had the instrument cluster, vacuum motor, wiper transmissions, defroster ducts & outlets, glove box, in other words, just about every thing under the dash out on the floor. All the wiring is in its original shape, except for the color of course. And that is what I want to address, the color. The cloth cover is now faded to a nice light Brown/Tan. Has anyone ever figured out what the “NAT” color was?? White? Cream? Or was it Light Brown/Tan. In the circuit diagrams I think that the “NAT” simply meant, natural although I’ve never heard a definitive answer.
