thank you. that's a great improvement over the shop manual. but mine does not use thrust washers, at least not according to the manual. and still nothing about side gear play. I just don't know whether I have perfectly normal backlash in all directions, or a worn sidegear, carrier, spider? And I really don't want to tear it apart if there's nothing wrong with it
