I'm not sure where to post this, but is there any way to bypass the daytime running lights on a '99 GM half-ton?
I was just over at the Greasy Spoon reading about flashing hi-beams to let someone in, and sometimes its necessary to flash headlights in the daytime for the same reason. To do this, I have to turn on the headlight switch, then flash the hi-beams because the running lights are on, but the hi-beams don't work in this mode.
When I'm driving a pre-DRL vehicle, I use the headlights anyway so its easy to flash them.
I'd like to be able to do the same thing in a modern vehicle. Any thoughts?
