For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 202 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 202 | I will be there with my 49,rain or shine. I will add that is that time of year to set up your truck for winter, put stabilizer in your fuel AND drive it for 10 min. or idle it for 20 min. to get the stabilizer into the carb. It is also a good idea to have a full tank of fuel to prevent condensation in the fuel tank. ( Prevents RUST from forming inside the tank ) For longer than 3-4 months it is a good idea to spray in some fogging oil in with the motor running to coat the top end with oil. For motors not running, remove spark plugs, turn over motor while spraying in the fogging oil, then put the plugs back in.
Keep the 216's running. 1949 1/2 ton model #1314 (US 3104) Brian
