Is an 11 inch clutch big enough for a two ton truck? My truck was recently overloaded and I ended up burning out the clutch at the landfill. The two speed rear end is stuck in high, which didn't help. I went in to replace it and was surprised to find that it was only an 11 inch clutch with 6 bolts holding down the pressure plate. I was expecting a 12 or 14 inch clutch. I suspected the engine and tranny had been swapped and ran the casting number on the block (3769925) and came up with a 59' 261 engine. At least it's a truck engine, but I still think the clutch is too small. Am I correct in thinking this?
