DOT 3 is the same as the "Super #11" fluid that's suggested in the shop manual. DOT 4 will be fine as well. Do not use the silicone based DOT 5 (purple in color), as it will not mix properly wit the glycol base fluids, and is incompatible with the rubber components in the brake system.
