I have '42 1/2 ton and just put a '54 235 engine in it. My problem is the original '42 clutch/brake pedal assembly mounts right up to the motor but the throw out arm doesn't line up. I didn't have the original throw out arm so bought one over the net for a '54. The arm is too close to the clutch pedal (no room for the linkage rod) and the distance needed to disengage the clutch doesn't seem to be enough. Is there a difference in throw out arms and what do I need to do to correct the problem?
