If you are referring to a 216 truck exhaust system, there is an exhaust pipe a muffler and a tailpipe.
There very few clamps/hangers.
- exhaust pipe attaches to the exhaust manifold

donut between the exhaust pipe and exhaust manifold -
two mounting studs in the exhaust manifold (and two nuts - long brass nuts are nice)
clamp the exhaust pipe to the IN side of the muffler

forward/front clamp -
muffler -
rear clamp - clamp the tail pipe to the OUT side of the muffler

muffler hanger strap - hanger it attached to the frame -

The tailpipe, as posted above, has a hump that goes above the real axle housing.
There is
heat-shield plate that attaches to the underside of the bed, above the top of the hump in the tailpipe

rear tailpipe hanger - goes around the tailpipe and attaches to the frame
