Look for a good upholstery shop. We have a local shop (mother and daughter operation) that does great work for a reasonable price. My stock seat out of my 1950 3600 is being done now. I just wanted a bit more comfort and a color change. They use quality materials (I've seen the kits that typical vendors sell and the material is thin and limited on colors, etc.)
My cost is $350 for everything. They used thicker better padding and thicker material. They are also adding a bit of roll and tuck for me and two tone to match the original color of my new paint along with the inside color. I'll post some pics when I pick them up next week.
It looks like you have a good starting point (as I did) so keep us posted on 'Walter's' progress.
