I have a 1952 3800 one ton truck with a box (wood) bed. I need to mount cowl mirrors on the truck to be able to view past the box on both sides. I had a 49 6400 and it had a long arm mirror on the drivers side and passenger side, both mounted on the cowl. The mirrors mount with small iron brackets of which I have two, I also have two extendable long arms for the mirrors. Can anyone with a 6400 in that vintage year range of 49-52 give me some measurements as to the location of the brackets on the cowl, such as inches from the edge of the cowl fresh air vent to the edge of the top mirror mounting bracket. A previous owner had installed some door mirrors which were not functional with the box bed. Thanks.
