I read your info about a noisy new lifter.
After how many miles will a new, tight hydraulic lifter break-in. I have one that is noisy until the engine reaches operating temperature, then everything is fine. I have noticed that 1,500 miles after complete rebuilt, the tight lifter is not at noisy as it was at 0 thru 1,000 miles after rebuild. Can I expect the noise to go away completely, or would you recommend replacing the lifter?
