no door switches on these most basic of vehicles - turning the headlight sw alla way one direction turns the interior lite on, other way dims the dash lites - have you checked the bulb?
could be bad wiring too, or even that part of the switch bad - works by putting a ground on one wire to the light, the other wire to the light is always hot from a terminal on the switch
