I want to tuneup the 'ol 1950 3100. I have the 1950 shop manual, however, the old boy has a 1956, 235 engine in it. would the tune up specs necessarily be those for the 1956 model, or might there be a different year distributor in it--how to know? and where to find the specs? I did find online the 1956 supplement to the 1955 shop manual, but it didn't have all the specs listed--I wonder if that means that they didn't change from 1955 and those are the ones to use. i'm looking for gaps, dwell, timing, compression. any thoughts appreciated. thanks.
