Here's an answer I received from a guy that does carb & fuel pump rebuilds.

I'm sharing his answer here.

Any opinions about what he says ?

Read what he says, below.

Good morning, George. Thanks for visiting.

The NOS parts are great in terms of the fact that their mechanical
tolerances are as-original. However, in the case of fuel pumps and
carburetors, none of them have gasoline contact materials in them that
will withstand today's alcohol-based fuels.

I recommend that you consider either rebuilding the pump yourself with one
of my kits or have me do the restoration for you with modern materials
that WILL withstand today's fuels.

Should you choose to do the rebuild yourself, you would need to order my
new-production, made in the U.S.A. kit #FPK 131 at $38.00, plus $8.00
shipping. The cost to have me restore your pump is $135.00, plus $14.00
shipping. The restoration includes attention paid to mechanical and
appearance aspects. It also includes a 2 year warranty.

If you haven't already done so, you may want to see pictures of fuel
pumps I have restored. To do that, click on this link:

Please let me know how I can best help you from this point forward.

I'll wait to hear back from you.

Take care.
