many folks new to these ol trucks have that misplaced concern, comes up regular here - in the event of an accident, inside the cab is the best place for the tank, much more likely to be ruptured under the truck, especially between the rear frame rails, which is where a decent size fits - or outside the side rail where some big trucks have it .... leave well enough alone and put your time and money into making it all work right and look good
