yeah, kids - generator/alternator makes no difference, amps is amps, 12 volts is 12 volts .... at my NAPA here they'd ask if you want internal or external, even with a 60's V8, sometime in the 60's they went to the 'hidden' resistance wire to replace the ballast resistor
