put a fuse in it and go - the truck, and the harness you got may have been updated, and the diagram was aimed at folks dealing with the times .... the 37 diagram is marked "field resist
ance", which seems related to the generator field circuit, maybe see the
39 diagram, similar but more understandable, split the difference
the fuse appears to be for the stop lights and interior light, so may be shown in the 37 diagram by the 'bar' across the middle
