What you say you are connecting looks right.
What you describe for your old condenser seems odd.
6v or 12v system (battery)?
1168lsn6 is for a 6v system.
What coil are you using?
wetwilly,
12v 235 engine?
The vacuum advance is mechanical and should not be affected by the installation of the Pertronix unit.
There is no need for a ballast voltage reducer in a 12v Pertronix system, if you are using the correct coil. What coil are you you using?
