As edski pointed out you can't just take a gear out of something and put it in to change the ratio. Gears come in matching sets. If you were to find a lower 1'st gear you would need the cluster gear to match it. The cluster would also have to match 2'nd & 3'rd gears as well. Any gear changes will require a complete disassembly of the transmission. I'll be happy to trade you straight across for a rebuilt (4 bolt) OD trans. It has the same ratio as the trans you took out. Transportation would be the only issue.
