OK Guys, WHAT a weekend! After solving few last problems Friday night, June 28 and early Sat morning, My Wrench Bender, 16 yr old neighbor and I treated ourselves to taking the BEAST to a car show in Springfield MN, about 22 miles from home. She purred like a kitten until I put my foot thru the carb. Then it sounded like that Mad Female Cat IN HEAT, thru the straight pipes installed. Oil pressure gauge stayed pegged at the gauge limit of 30 lbs, The temp stayed at the thermostat-ed 180 degrees, no oil, coolant leaks and only a small drip of gas from the carb inlet. Same smooth return trip home. Guys, I am so HAPPY with my transplanted 235 vs 216 I could just $hit! My Wrench bender helper said, I have an idea, MAYBE I can use your truck for transportation for my date to prom IN 2 years! I told him "I hear you and IF you play your cards right You have a deal!
