Alvin - The gas tank was at the rear of a 36. That's why the spare tire was mounted on the right front fender in a well instead of under the bed like the 37-38's. The seat bottom was one piece. In 37 the seat bottom was two pieces for gas tank access through the cab. In 38 seat bottom was two pieces even though the tank filler extended through the cab to the outside just behind the passenger's door.
They had to use those split cushions up that the Manager Of the Interior Supplies ordered too many of!
