Change over involves a few things- Ingition circuit, charging circuit, guages and sending unit, and bulbs.
12 bulbs in guages, tail lights, headlights, etc...
voltage drop (runtz) for ammmeter, gas guage, fuel sending unit, radio and possibly heater blower motor.
Voltage drop for coil.
You can use a 74 monte carlo alternator, but they are only 55 amp. If you can find one that wires up the same with 90 amps, great!
