I think the further back you put it (them) the sound will be better, the fella that put in my exhaust put them way forward and at about 2500 was horrid sounding. I put a set of maganaflo's all the way at the back and it is almost too quiet now. But at the same RPM it gives a nice tone now. But I still have the thrush in the middle, so I don't know how that affects things.
