| | | | Joined: May 2013 Posts: 56 creating memories | | creating memories Joined: May 2013 Posts: 56 | So looking at all the options for fixing my popping out of 3rd gear problem I was wondering if overhauling a 3 speed manual transmission from a 1962 C10 is difficult to do? The closest thing I have to experience in this kind of overhaul is I did the transaxle in my dad's old 1964 Sears tractor and just the axle part of a 67 VW transaxle. If I bought a rebuild kit (several out on the market) is it something a novice can do? Are there special tools involved? Thanks folks, just covering my bases.
