There are a couple of Onan L634's on ebay. They're in generators. There are pictures and it doesn't look like a "direct replace for a 292". i.e. no side motor mounts and fairly deep block and sump. The one with a turbo is very tall with the turbo mounted high above the valve cover. They look like beasts though.

I have been doing some more research and chatting with another Stovebolter. There IS an automotive/vehicle version of this motor and the OP is correct in that there is a bolt in version of this engine that UPS used to repower it's fleet of Chevy 292 and Ford 300 delivery vans back in the day.
