The bottom edge of the doors behind those strips was moderately rusty, but fixable. Also had to work on the corner drain pockets behind the seat. Seems like those pockets collect a lot of junk.
That's why they almost universally rust. The drain holes get blocked & any water that gets in there can't drain out.
