The problem is I'm an electrical rookie, so have several questions. I know I need a voltage reducer to keep the gauges & heater motor on 6V. Are there any additional components that need to be kept on 6V? Do I need a 12V regulator? Will the existing starter & coil work on 12V? Whats the ups/downs of converting the generator to 12V vrs changing to an alternator? Thanks for any help. Bob | | |
