Today I didn't feel like doing much. I have a heater from my '51 3100 lying under the welding table and underfoot. The heater core is copper scrap. The heater box is disassembled so I installed a portion of it to the kick panel. I measured from the box to the firewall, measured the motor with the squirrel cage and as we all know it is too long to fit without putting a hole in the firewall.
I built the firewall from scratch and if I could figure out this picture stuff I would show you. the file manager must be on some other web site or on strike. I do not want to make any penetrations.
As I see it I have two alternatives, 1, a 12V motor that is shorter, have any of you in your travels aver seen short heater motors? I would even use something from a J A Pan car. 2, This solution, altho i'm trying to avoid this one, is to pound a heater box to fit out of sheet steel and to this approach I'm not a stranger. All input is welcome.
