I'm starting to over heat again in these warmer days and am thinking of putting an electric fan in front of the radiator. Anyone done that with good results? This would be for a 49 half ton.

I called a local shop to see about a recore job and they said about $400 or more. Still running the stock fan blade so maybe the newer design would be better and maybe fabbing up a shroud would be the way to go.

Temp difference between top/bottom tank is about 15 deg. Likely that is ok for these trucks ?

Also planning to re-gear the dif to 3.55 so that should help too.
