Has anyone replaced the rear trans bushing on a closed drive 1950 3 speed? I know GM only serviced the whole rear yoke support and did not offer the bushing as a separate part. Before someone suggests, I went to Motion Industries and the parts guy tried to find a replacement. He asked what it was for and as soon as he heard automotive he said sorry we can't sell anything for automotive purposes. I guess the lawyers must have got to them. I've purchased bearings and seals from them before, but never mentioned what they were for, I just gave them part numbers. So word to the wise, don't mention that what you're buying are for automotive use.
Anyways, if someone has replaced this bushing or knows of an after market parts number I'd like to know.
