Just got the shims I ordered from the guy that tclederman posted a link for. The company is Marx Parts, out of Wisconsin. Same ole' B.S. Claims shims are for '29 to'54 Chevy's, and they show up .009 thick. You would think these companies would do a little research before they sell you something. 49 to 54 service manual clearly states that the 235 comes with two .002 thick shims on each side of the rod. What a bunch of clowns. Time to start drinkin' and then cuttin' up the beer cans afterwards
