| | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 25 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 25 | I have a 51 chev pickup, and I'm changing the motor from a 216 to 235ci. its out of a 55 chev with auto trans. So it has solid lifters and full oil pressure. I took the motor apart to clean everything and check bearings. and so on. I took the oil pump apart to check gears and misplaced the gasket! I read where you need to get a gasket from Chevrolet. nothing else will work.(true or false)so where do you get a gasket for a 1955 235ci from Chevrolet mafg. | | |
