Bob, if the harness is pretty correct original style it's real straight forward, as they're shaped in a way that the connections almost can't be attached in the wrong place - if you have a shop manual it has the wiring schematic that shows all the correct colors - even if yours isn't color coded properly, it'll still make it evident which wires go where - if you give me a better idea of what the harness looks like I might be able to help you figure it out
