Thanks for posting that drawing. I just got 3 wire for my '66 but wasn't sure how to wire it up. I stopped at NAPA on Friday and bought the connector for the alternator and then stopped at Radio Shack and bought the diode. Yesterday I soldered up a wiring harness according to your drawing, hooked it up and it works great.
