Hey Guys,
I have a 53 GMC panel and want to use an electric Cadillac trunk pull to pull the hood down and keep it tight. I have the pull down motor and the cellenoid that attatches to the lip of the trunk.Its from a 96 Cadillac. Does anyone know how to wire this? And how to wire it to a switch?
On the pull down motor I have 4 wires....Black, Red,Orange /Black stripe,and Red with Black stripe.
Orange with black stripe= constant power
Red= goes to Red wire on the latch
Black=Ground
Red with black stripe=trunk ajar light
On the latch I have...4 wires
Red=goes to red wire on pull motor
Black=Ground
Orange with Black Stripe=Trunk light socket
I also have a Black wire with a white stripe that I don't know where it goes.
I have searched and cant find much info. How would you go about wiring this and how would you wire it to a switch? Any help is really appreciated
