Thanks "carbking",it appears that I just did not know how to start my own truck? I did not touch the pedal, and just held down the plunger longer and she fires right up! Thank you for the correct technique, as I would be tearing the carb down by now to find nothing wrong.
I didn't think about the whole updraft system, just trying to start her like an old V8? Ooops.
