I am running Bridgstone 265/70/17s on my '53 GMC on all four corners. That gives you a tire size of about 31.5 X 10.5. I don't recall now if the wheels are 9s or 10s. I have stock axles and suspension. They just fit, but I drive rough roads and sometimes off road and have had no issues with the tires rubbing.
It wouldn't be my choice of wheels and the tires are a bit tall, but they were dirt cheep
