Thank you for the reply and advice. I parted with the closed
drive shaft and rear axle w/leaf springs. I was looking at getting an S10 drives shaft from the salvage yard and have it cut to length. It seems that all the salvage yards here are tapped out of S-10s. I do not know what kind of slip yoke and u-joints needed to completed the connection. I have looked at some venders for a borg warner compatible slip yoke but there are many to chose from.
