I do not believe the 49s came with Carters, and since both mine and yours came with Rochesters, that pretty much proves it, along with information from the Master Parts Catalog. But as you can see, Carters fit just fine, I also made the change from the leaky old Rochester. I got fuel line from Jim Carter I believe it was, and had no problem with fit. It is 3/8 inch diameter I believe.
