The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk How to determine if front bumper is original?

We're trying to figure out if we're going to re-chrome or replace the front bumper on our 1949 3600. Is there something we can look for that will help determine if its original style of manufacturing?

The chrome is pealing and steel rusting underneath
