Just wanted to share a sign that I designed and built for my shop. I have wanted to decorate my shop with vintage garage marquees and gas/oil company signs. But my pocketbook isn't full enough to cover the walls with real signs, and even the reproductions are a little pricey.
So I realized one day that "hey, wait, I have a CNC machine, I can do this myself". So I did. I designed and built a customized vertical garage marquee with letters mounted and standing off 3/4". The sign is roughly 7' tall and 2' wide. Not the best picture quality. For a few hours of work and 2/3 sheet of steel, it makes a fun conversation piece and the start of more items likely to come. My next in the works is a sign that would be similar to one placed on a post or column and will have lights inside the lettering.
