I belive you could put the cab on the chassis from a regular cab truck(Same cab Mount Locations in both cabs), but your steps might touch the ground and the cab would be set back to far from the axle.
Also the front part of the frame would be too high for the LCF rad support( Drops about 10" to 12" below cab mounts).
Another problem would be where to put the engine I do not know if the nose would be long enough to accomodate a V8 without droping it in the frame.I am putting a late model 350 in mine and could not keep the serpentine acc. brakets. I needed to go back to the stock waterpump and V-belt pulleys.
So I chage my answer to I do Not think it would fit a regular chassis. Hope this helps?
